I Got To Confirm Him Yesterday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I hope you had a good time for your birthday! :)

The baptism went really well, Josh was super happy and just said it made him feel warm. I got to confirm him yesterday so that was really neat. Every time there is a baptism it reminds me how powerful Satan is and how true this church and gospel are. I've never been part of a baptism on my mission that went smoothly, there is always some last minute change or someone is late and its starts stressing people out. And it’s all the adversary trying his hardest, even at the last possible second, to prevent people from doing what is right. But it always works out, and everyone is always happy after and they and always know they made the right choice. I did take pictures, but I forgot to bring my camera to the baptism so I had to use someone else’s, so it might not be till next week when you see pictures. That’s a bummer your friend couldn't make it to church, just keep trying and it will work. If she sees the persistence and love that you have for her she will recognize that she needs the gospel in her life. Tell Kiley to stop spending money and save up for a car so I have something to drive when I get home. We have a dinner on Thanksgiving so it should be a fun time, hope y'all have a good Thanksgiving as well. Love ya.

So We Moved Apartments This Week

November 18, 2013

So we moved apartments this week. My new address is 6400 crescent way apt 103. On Friday we got a call from the senior missionary in charge of housing and he asked if we were the ones moving today, we told him no. So we get a call from him an hour later and he was like hey you’re moving your lease is up and you have to be moved by Monday. So all day Friday and Saturday we moved all of our stuff across the street to a new apartment. It’s just Elder Ballantyne and I in the apartment now, the other elders moved up with the other set of first ward elders so they are all together now. So even though I didn't get transferred out of the area it feels like I got transferred. Plus on Saturday we had to take a break from moving ourselves and spend a few hours moving a member, so it was a busy weekend, I’m tired. Other than that everything is going well, our investigator Josh is getting baptized on Saturday so I’m excited about that. This next transfer is only 5 weeks long and ends right before Christmas, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens. That’s about it, I hope everything goes well this week, love ya.

We Should Have A Baptism Next Weekend

November 12, 2013 (11-12-13)

We should have a baptism next weekend on the 23rd. Our investigator has a baptismal interview tomorrow, so it'll be a good day. I got to go to that leadership training last week. It was good to see a lot of the missionaries I knew from the Raleigh side. Two guys from the missionary department came and instructed us on all kinds of things so I felt like I learned a lot. Other than that, everything has just been going well. Transfer news came in and I’m still here in Norfolk training and the district leader, but every other companionship in the district had a change so it’ll be different next transfer. We went to some biking trails yesterday and got to ride around the forest for a few hours, it was a good time. People say it snows here every now and then, nothing crazy just like little flurries. It’s starting to get a little colder here, it’s weird to actually experience season change. The TV stand looks really good! I guess that's about it, love ya.

We Got To Teach A Lot This Week

That's awesome to hear about your friend, keep up the good work! Have you given her a copy of the Book of Mormon yet? The zoo seemed like a fun place, I’m glad yall had fun. This week was pretty good, last Monday the sisters and us held a FHE for our investigators and less actives so that was fun. We also got to teach a lot this week so that kept us busy. The people we are teaching are super nice and love what we are saying so that's all going well, they just never come to church which is frustrating.... On Halloween we got to go over the Elder and Sister Wadsworth's (senior missionaries) with the whole district and have some fun with them. We also had our ward Halloween party on Friday so that was fun as well. Well that's about it for this week, love ya.
