I Thought I Knew A Lot But I Really Don't

October 31, 2012

Hey guys,
Well first of all mom and I are terrible at packing. The TSA stopped me and searched my carry on suitcase. Apparently we left my toothpaste and contact solution in my bag. Luckily they let me keep my contact solution, but they took my tooth paste. But other than that the plane ride was fine and I got to the MTC on time. It snowed three times one day! It’s too cold here.  There are 7 other missionaries in my district, 5 are going to my mission and the other 2 are going to Arkansas. There is also another district that has 6 elders going to North Carolina as well. I love my district, we all have become so close in this short time and it’s amazing. My companion is Elder Dewey and he’s from Wyoming. Well the first day was good, we got here and had a class and orientation and stuff. Thursday we started to learn missionary stuff, and Friday we started teaching role play investigators. Those first few days were extremely hard, I thought I knew a lot but I really don’t, this is such a humbling experience for me. So on Sunday we had an amazing sacrament meeting and priesthood and we all felt way better. The teaching is going great now, me and my companion work well together and we are in a nice rhythm. So I guess I’m lactose intolerant in Utah. All the days that I have drunken milk I have felt so sick. But I’ve stopped drinking milk and I’m feeling way better. Could you buy an iPod shuffle and put a bunch of church music on it? And send a little speaker? They have tiny ones now so I don’t need big ones like Ryan. But wait to send it to me till I’m in North Carolina. Well these computers are stupid and I can’t figure out how to send pictures, sorry. Talk to ya next week.
