What?! Rachael and Mike are moving to Utah?! I don’t think
anyone told me this!
We are teaching this
new family and it was a really good first lesson. After we had taught
about the great apostasy we had asked what they understood about what we
had taught so far, and the mom answered and said that it sounds like
we are in the apostasy right now. So it was really neat to see her understand
that so well. I think it made her appreciate the story of Joseph Smith so much
more. so I got good news last night, one of the people that we were
teaching, the Vincent family, who we had to stop teaching because they were in
the other ward, I think I told yall that. But anyways, he’s getting baptized on
Saturday! So that’s really amazing. I taught him up until we realized they weren’t
in our ward like 2 weeks ago. He said that he likes me and I was well spoken as
a missionary and he asked me to speak at his baptism. And then yesterday in
church we were sitting there in elders quorum about to get started, and they
were going to ordain Bro. Falco, who I baptized last month. And the bishop is
in there and everything and they call him up and were like ok now Elder Romney
is going to ordain Bro. Falco. It took me a couple of seconds to realize I was
Elder Romney. So I got to ordain someone for the first time yesterday. The lord
sure does know how to humble people! So it’s been a good week. It hasn’t rained
at all since last week so it’s been nice to get out and do a lot. But
unfortunately no rain means it’s really really hot. When you are riding your
bike it just feels like someone has a blow drier in your face the whole time. It’s
definitely a different kind of heat than Arizona. We have interviews with
the president on Thursday this week so I actually get to sit down and meet with
him, it’ll be nice. Well that’s about it for this week, love ya.
