It is early morning seminary here, I’m glad I never had to
do that. That's crazy to hear about your school, it’s a good thing that you
didn't get sick. Have fun with you summer vacation!
Things are going good here, Elder Fullerton and I get along well.
The ward is really great. We were supposed to have a lot of work this week and
had a lot of lessons set up, but 95% of them had to cancel for various
reasons. This week should be good and busy.
We watched the restoration video with our investigator
Chris this week. We feel it really made an impact on him, he said he
didn't remember the story of Joseph Smith from when the other
elders taught him. We aren't sure if he understood everything that he
was taught by the other missionaries, from the records they kept it sounds like
they just blew through all the lessons and tried to get him baptized. That's
frustrating for me to see, people don't understand the fact that people
progress differently and you have to make sure they understand before they go
on. We are going to meet with him again this week and it should be a
good lesson.
I got to go down to Virginia Beach on Saturday and baptize
Alex. It was a super cool experience to see him finally take that step. He is a
very humble man and is truly converted, he will do great things in the church.
I also saw our miracle less active man from my last area, he is the assistant
ward mission leader in the ward now. It is so cool to see people progress.
Within the next few weeks, we should have the area
completely back to normal like nothing happened, the members are really trying
to help us and we have taught a few of their friends already. It should be a
good week.
