Crazy Things Happened This Week

July 28, 2014

Crazy things happened this week. I am actually not in Gloucester. I got a call on Wednesday (day before transfers) and President Baker said that some things had to change due to "circumstances he can’t control". So now I am in the Great Bridge ward and I’m serving as a zone leader again. My companion is Elder Tucker from Utah somewhere. Here is my new address:

224 Ridgecrest Pl. Apt 204
Chesapeake, VA 23322

This week was a little slower, we had to pack and clean and all that jazz for transfers so not much happened in Poquoson. But since transfers, things have been going really well. On transfer day it was raining and my companion and I were in charge of putting all the luggage on a trailer for the missionaries traveling down to North Carolina, so that was a fun event in the rain. We are also teaching a ton of people so we have been crazy busy all the time. I’ve missed being this busy, it’s nice.

We are teaching this one lady and she is super cool. They have been teaching her for a month and she is getting ready to be baptized in the middle of august. We taught the word of wisdom and she said she smoked and drank coffee. She then committed to quit by this weekend. So in a few days she has gone from 10 cigarettes a day to 3. The Lord is pretty good at his job!

Serving in leadership is such a blessing, we had a meeting with the stake president last night and it’s so amazing as a missionary to get to work with and learn from all these leaders. That's been one of my favorite parts of a mission is getting to see all the different ways that the various wards and leaders function.

Well that's about it for this week, love ya
Jordan
